£10.00 - On Sale
A set of 20 A6 postcards printed on 300g board, the non-image side has a standard postcard layout. Each postcard features a colour illustration by Sir John Tenniel taken from Lewis Carroll's 'Alice's Adventures in Wonderland' first published in 1865 and 'Through the looking glass' first published in 1871.
All of these images are taken from original sources and painstakingly restored to their full glory, resulting in clean, sharp images.
John Tenniel was born in London in 1820, the son of a dancing master and fencing instructor. He studied at the schools of the British Royal Academy and at the Clipstone Street Art society. At the age of 16, he exhibited his first oil painting at the Society of British Artists.
